With the rise of the mobile phone, fewer and fewer people see the need to wear a watch. To solve this problem, the designers focused on dual functionality: the mirrored surface reveals a LED digital watch only when needed, and for the rest of the time the watch becomes an elegant reflective piece. SDworks pulled out all the stops over 14 weeks of designing to come up with a product that would meet customers' needs and add value through its design aspects. Not only is it functionality innovative, but it also sports a sleek look arrived at through collaboration with the School of Design' s professors. The designers gathered feedback at the watch's unveiling at the Annual Show at the Innocentre in May 2009, which was used in producing the final product.
